Last month, on the plane to Delhi, I met a handsome, intelligent man. He was wearing a blue denim jacket which matched his pale blue eyes.
It wasn't a romantic connection, but it wasn't not a romantic connection.
What makes a connection romantic? Is it feelings of mutual attraction or signals of attraction to each other?
The first happened, the latter did not.
Our interaction resided in a liminal space - where nothing and everything happens.
I rarely seek out romance. I've been alone for years. I'm content by myself and disillusioned by what's on offer. Yet, I'd like to think I'd allow my heart to open if the situation arose.
